About Nicola
A little about who I am.
I’m Nicola (she/her), a psychotherapist based in Bethnal Green, East London. My work is quiet, honest and unhurried — a steady place to think out loud, feel what’s really there, and slowly make sense of it together.
People often arrive carrying something they’ve held alone for a long time. My hope is that you’ll feel met, not assessed — welcomed exactly as you are.

The therapy room at 18A Victoria Park Square, Bethnal Green.
My approach
Relational, person-centred, curious.
I believe the relationship we build is itself part of what makes therapy work. I’ll meet you with warmth, curiosity and compassion — following your pace rather than fitting you into a method.
A relational practice
Therapy as a real, two-way relationship — not a transaction or a technique applied to you.
Person-centred values
You are the expert on your own life. My role is to listen carefully and walk alongside.
Curiosity and compassion
We approach what arises with openness, never with judgement.
Thoughts, feelings and patterns
Space to explore what you think, what you feel, and the quiet patterns underneath.
Collaborative by nature
We shape the work together and check in often about what’s helpful.
At your pace
There is no rush. We move only as quickly as feels safe and useful.
Social and cultural context
Your background, identity and lived experience matter — and shape the room. I offer an LGBTQIA+ affirmative and anti-oppressive practice, and welcome people of all identities, backgrounds and experiences.
Qualifications & training
A grounded, continually deepening practice.
Diploma in Counselling
The Minster Centre, London
MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy
Currently in progress — an ongoing commitment to depth and reflection.
Registered Member of the BACP
Practising in line with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s ethical framework, with regular clinical supervision.
Experience
Working with a wide range of lives.
My experience spans both private practice and low-cost community counselling services, where I have sat with people from many different backgrounds and at many different points in their lives.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, grief and bereavement, burnout, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, identity, motherhood and the quieter feeling of being stuck. Whatever you bring, you don’t need to have it figured out first.
If it feels right
You’re welcome to be in touch.
Even a short note is enough. We can arrange an introductory conversation to see whether working together feels like the right next step.
